Debrief at Platform Neighbourhood LAB 2023

In 2023, The Rogue Academy is thrilled to announce the return of its Critical LAB program, presented as part of Platform Arts Neighbourhood LAB – and their ongoing dedication to LAB -style programs in Geelong. The program is specifically designed for local cultural practitioners who are interested in developing their skills in arts research, critical thinking, studio practice, grants, commissions, and working as an artist in the public space.

This year’s program features a lineup of esteemed guest faculty members, including Lynda Roberts, a renowned expert in expanded public art and urban practice, and Dylan Foley, a respected curator at Boom Gallery. The faculty members will be sharing their expertise and insights on a wide range of topics, from setting up your work for presentation to a curator to exploring innovative ideas and strategies for developing your artistic practice.

At Neighbourhood LAB, participants will have the opportunity to engage with and learn from their peers, as well as receive personalized guidance and feedback from expert faculty members. Through a series of workshops, and hands-on projects, participants will gain practical skills and knowledge that they can apply to their artistic practice, as well as build lasting connections with fellow practitioners in their community.

We are excited to be involved in the Neighbourhood LAB program at Platform Arts for cultural practitioners in Geelong
